Some absolute crackers from France
Yesterday I went to a tasting of French wines chosen by my British wine writing peers and found it fascinating - real vindication of the variety, integrity and in some cases value of French wine. It would be impossible to imagine any other country managing to mount such a wide range of flavours, styles and prices. I came across a few plums for your delectation (see below), many good wines, and of course there was ample opportunity to rate the wine writers as well as the wines.
