2004 bordeaux in bottle - wines for drinkers!
Here are the notes I made at the London tasting of 2004s in bottle organized by the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux (so no first growths and few super seconds) held late last month. See also my detailed overview of the vintage at this stage in its evolution.
In general I’m enthusiastic about wines of this superior quality level in this vintage, and the prices look very attractive compared with 2003 and 2005. This is a vintage for drinkers rather than investors!
