Mar 21 - See also lots more notes on Northern Rhône 2005s . The 2005 Rhône wines I have tasted so far are looking very good. We have had a run of good vintages in the Southern Rhône but after tasting well over 100 examples, quite a few of them more than once, I was excited to see how good the 2005 Northern Rhône wines are. Of course I have seen far more reds than whites in general but the reds seem to shine more brightly than the whites, some of which suffer from a lack of acidity or definition.
