Trignon goes to Quiot
24 Jan 2007 by JR

The Quiot family who own Domaine Duclaux and Domaine du Vieux Lazaret in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine Houchart in Provence and produce a wide range of southern Rhône wines have finally acquired the Ch du Trignon of Sablet, well known for its robust Gigondas.

Ch du Trignon has been owned by the Roux family for over a century, with the ebullient André Roux handing over to his nephew Pascal 20 years ago.

Now the property will be in the hands of Geneviève, Florence, Jérôme and Jean-Baptiste Quiot who will be adding their 10 ha of Vacqueyras vineyard to the Trignon vignoble.
