2005 burgundies - my top wines
Some of you have understandably asked for some guidance while hacking your way through the alphabetically ordered jungle that is my 1,300+ tasting notes on the 2005 burgundies. Below is a listing of the wines that scores 18 points or more, listed by score and alphabetically by producer name within score. I hope it may be useful, although bear in mind that many (though by no means all) of these wines were tasted only once. It’s interesting that although I am pretty convinced that in general the 2005 reds are much more uniformly successful than the whites, my two top scores are Montrachets.
