Roederer Cristal - the tasting notes
Here are my notes from the sumptuous tasting for which the fascinating background can be found in inside information . I hope you appreciate the rigours I undergo in order to provide you with information and opinion.
It’s worth noting however that for each vintage wither four bottles or two magnums were opened at the formal tasting. There was marked difference between the samples of 1988 and 1979 and the first wine I noted was, unfortunately, the less successful example. Shame. How I suffer… I did taste the other example however and good examples of 1988 and, especially, 1979 can be truly marvellous. Worrying variation though,...
