Anyone for the 2006 firsts?
29 Jun 2007 by JR
So, as predicted, this week sees the big flurry of Bordeaux 2006 primeur releases (so deeply unfashionable to arrive before the last minute..). We can now choose  therefore between the first growths at over £3,000 a dozen in bond, Pavie at well over £1,400 and the very successful  Las Cases closer to £1,100. Angelus has pitched its price at the same level as St Julien's wannabe first. So who will be buying? Do let us know below if you have any thoughts on this. Meanwhile, the 2007 crop, already suffering some mildew in warm, damp weather, will be picked before we know it.
