Torres' adventures in Priorat
I tried Torres’ new(ish) Priorat, Salmos 2005 Priorat , the other day and was particularly interested since I saw the ground being so energetically re-landscaped into ziggurat-like slopes and terraces when I visited Priorat with Victor de la Serna in ?2000. (Victor will, I’m sure, correct me if I have the wrong year.) [See members' forum subsequently.]
The Torres family, pre-eminent in the Catalan wine business, bought the land back in 1996 but I suspect that the vines were planted only this century so that it is perhaps inevitable that the resulting wine will taste very different from the pioneer...
