Bordeaux 2003s - a progress report

These wines were tasted at the well organised Institute of Masters of Wine annual bordeaux tasting in London last month. I focused mainly on those wines that Jancis had not previously tasted in bottle. See here for the 2003s Jancis tasted in bottle almost exactly two years ago and here for her even more extensive en primeur report. I was expecting to taste the fingerprint of the 2003 heatwave. Although many wines had rather dry tannins, especially on the finish, fewer wines than I expected were marked by overripe fruit.
