Foley moves into Washington. Oregon next?

William Foley II, owner of Foley Estates Vineyard & Winery, Lincourt Vineyards and Firestone Vineyard in Santa Barbara County, and Merus in Napa Valley, has added Three Rivers Winery in Washington state to his rapidly growing collection of wineries.   Foley, who nabbed Sea Smoke Cellars winemaker star Kris Curran in January (see our report here ) to oversee production of the wines from Foley Estates and Lincourt, is now in the process of purchasing a majority share of Three Rivers, an accomplished producer of Bordeaux varietals and Syrah in the Walla Walla Valley of south eastern Washington, an appellation that also...
