Claude Gros - the video
See my profile of Claude Gros - short video below of lunch in a Languedoc garden - tomorrow in Free for all and the Financial Times . Here's a foretaste, featuring, as well as some excellent cheese, a white from Emilia Romagna made from the local Spergola vine which was, I am informed, for long thought to be Sauvignon Blanc. Alijano's Vigna Ritrovata 2007 was 15% alcohol but had excellent acidity and great roundness on the palate. I'd be hard pressed to describe the aroma at all - let alone as Sauvignon-like.
