A cure for cork taint?

French biochemist Gérard Michel must be pleased with the amount of publicity his new TCA-removing kit, Dream Taste, has already garnered in the French and UK press, even before it is launched in France on 01 jun – and subsequently at Vinexpo.

It apparently involves something that looks like a bunch of plastic grapes containing a compound which removes cork taint from corked wines. You pour the spoiled wine into a container with the plastic grapes in it and after anything from 15 minutes to two hours, the wine has been restored to its pristine pre-TCA-taint condition.
