According to both of the biggest British-run port producers, The Fladgate Partnership and the Symington family, aged tawny port is set for significant growth. It has hitherto been something of a niche product, currently accounting for only 3% of UK port sales, but concerted efforts are being made to increase that number. To that end, both companies coincidentally held recent tastings in London in which they presented their tawniest offerings.
