Alsace 2007 - the tasting notes

Never let it be said that I ignore the wishes of purple pagers. Three months ago Mark Prust of Wales asked here on the old forum why there weren't more tasting notes on Alsace wines. Voila! These 168 wines were tasted in late August in Alsace (and I added a note on an interesting Albert Mann Riesling tasted open in London this week at the highly recommended new restaurant Giaconda Dining Room in Denmark Street, London W1). All but the Trimbach wines were tasted blind in groups by grape variety, arranged by the Comité Interprofessionnel des Vins d'Alsace in what they thought would be ascending order of sweetness (sweetness...
