A British captain of industry and his wife find themselves with a decided superfluity of 2000 red bordeaux and are selling off more than 40,000 bottles (well over 3,000 cases) of it at Christie’s: at 3pm on Monday 15 Sep at Christie’s, South Kensington, London SW7 and at 10.30am on 18 Sep 2008 at Christie’s, King Street, London SW1.As a result, Christie’s have been holding pre-sale tastings in Hong Kong, Paris and London, and in New York this Saturday.
