Zind-Humbrecht's 2007 samples

Attentive readers of my recent  Alsace 2007 tasting notes will have noticed that I was rather worried about how relatively poorly the Zind-Humbrecht wines showed. Since I tried to visit Olivier Humbrecht, one of the acknowledged star winemakers of Alsace, nay France, at the end of my stay in Alsace but he was too busy bottling his 2007s to receive anyone, I knew that the samples I had tasted must have been tank or cask samples – unlike any others in my blind tastings except those from Schlumberger.
