Here is a palate-whetter for my massive set of Argentine tasting notes to be published tomorrow - among them some extremely exciting wines. I recently saw Nicolas Catena of Argentina, pictured here with his California-based daughter Laura, and was surprised by his frankness when I asked him whether he was considering investing elsewhere. Catena is one of South America's best-known wine people, sometimes called 'the Robert Mondavi of Argentina' and partner of Lafite in Caro, whose 2005 was winner of the international trophy for over-£10 red blends in this year's Decanter World Wine Awards.   ...
