An Italian first
Today we introduce a new contributor to JancisRobinson.com. Until recently Walter Speller was the wine buyer at Sir Terence Conran's local wine shop at London's Tower Bridge, Le Pont de la Tour. Dutch-born Walter focuses principally on Italy and commutes between London and his Italian base in Padova (see my rave about this beautiful city and its delightfully wine-minded restaurant Per Bacco ). He publishes his personal views on Italian wine on Sucking Grapes, his irregular blog on www.walterspeller.com . He was a judge on the Italian panel of this year's Decanter World Wine Awards.
