Waitrose - 187 tasting notes
While their bigger and more downmarket rivals offer increasingly cut-throat deals on wine (three bottles for £10 or even £9) to lure customers into their stores to buy food etc, Waitrose has been agonising over how to respond. Their current offer of 25% off all wine, whether still, sparkling or strong, if six bottles are bought is their attempt to strike back, and a great opportunity for wine lovers. The offer lasts until this Tuesday 4 Nov.
