At a time when so many of us ar wearing our warmest clothes, it seems especially appropriate to look at port.  See, for example, Julia's recent tasting notes on ports that are currently available. Below are notes on a most impressive vertical of a single quinta port, arguably one of the best value ways to buy into the vintage port concept. Quinta do Vesuvio, whose terraced vineyards are pictured here by Mick Rock of Cephas, is a particularly propitiously sited wine estate in the Douro Valley that has been revitalised by the Symington family.
