Exceptional Leacock Madeiras
I’m feeling pretty fortified at the moment. I ran a tawny port tasting a couple of weeks ago, from which we have rather a lot of leftovers, which we’re dipping into in a gentle way. I’ve chosen to do my MW dissertation on sherry and, Ryanair allowing, will be jetting off to Jerez on Wednesday to visit Gonzalez Byass. And last Thursday I went to a stunning Madeira tasting at Christie’s - an advance glimpse at some of the madeiras available at their exceptional Finest and Rarest Wines sale this Thursday 11 Dec – with my Dad.
