Benjamin Leroux - video
You may remember that when I asked Allen Meadows, aka Burghound, on this video who he thought might be a natural heir to the late great Henri Jayer of Burgundy, one of the two people he cited was young Benjamin Leroux of Domaine Comte Armand.
He was over in London last week showing 2007s from the Pommard estate and from his very exciting new own négociant business. I tasted them chez Berry Bros and then tracked him down for some comments and discussion at Lay & Wheeler's tasting on Thursday. He had to be fetched from the pub opposite, and then went back to finish his pint. Sensible fellow with a decent set of priorities...
