2006 burgundies in bottle

These 2006 burgundies were shown earlier this year at the Institute of Masters of Wine's annual burgundy tasting. Having not been an enormous fan of the 2006 reds when I tasted them in late 2007 and early 2008, I found that in general the reds were tasting less scrawny but were still amazingly variable, not just within a single village but even from a single domaine. This applied particularly to the quality of the tannins and how they relate to the acid level, which seems to me to be the key to the success of reds from this vintage.
