Clos de Tart back to 1996
It took London merchant Corney & Barrow more than two years to draw Sylvain Pitiot and his wines into their fold but just before Jancis and I set off for Bordeaux to taste the 2008s (on which we will report next week) they celebrated their now exclusive agency in the UK with a vertical tasting in London. The vintages on show, described in the following notes, included a cask sample of the 2007 even though Pitiot generally prefers his wines to be tasted after bottling.
