Cape's Screaming Eagle connection
American investor Charles A Banks is on the prowl.
He has now severed his links with cult Napa Valley winery Screaming Eagle , which he had been running for millionaire sports and property entrepreneur Stan Kroenke (a shareholder, inter alia, in Arsenal football club) since it was acquired from realtor Jean Phillips almost exactly three years ago.
It’s possible that one reason Kroenke felt that Banks was not the ideal person to oversee the Oakville property that is currently being replanted and transformed is that Banks has been spending so much time investigating other possible investments in the world of wine...
