I have a bit more detail on Foster's big sale from the company that is most famous for Penfolds, Lindemans, Rosemount, Wynns, Seppelt, Wolf Blass, Beringer, Annie's Lane, Devil's Lair, Matua Valley and Castello di Gabbiano.
A spokesman for Foster's reports:
The sale represents 4,000 hectares of the 5,000 flagged for sale- the other 1,000 hectares are in the US.
Foster's current Australian holdings are around 11,500 hectares. Following the completion of the divestment program, Foster's will hold just over 10,000 planted hectares of vineyards in four countries.
