To introduce a series of fascinating tastings of great German wines, some of them in comparison with other fine classic wines from elsewhere, I present Breakfast with Schildknecht - the movie.
These very few minutes were shot at Weingewölbe restaurant-with-rooms in the pretty village of Bermersheim in Rheinhessen. With its French-born, Bocuse-trained chef and his super-hospitable wife, this is certainly the place to stay for those visiting his hotspot of south west Rheinhessen with its prominent wine producers of this corner of Rheinhessen such as Keller, Wittmann and Winter.
