Errázuriz v The Rest, and The Reds

Last night Eduardo Chadwick of Viña Errázuriz in Chile staged his so-called ‘ Berlin tasting’ for the eighth time, and the first time in the UK, whereby his top wines are compared blind with some of the most famous wines of the world. Alas this time the stars of the show were not his wines. Nor, to be fair, were they the wines that actually took top three places – all European. They were the English cricket team and the Manchester United squad, who all happened to be staying at the Landmark Hotel where the wine event was held and were available for gawpers like me.
