d'Angerville back to 1990
Guillaume d'Angerville is rather different from the average Burgundian wine producer. He is still basically a banker in Paris (for long with J P Morgan) but has been running this renowned domaine in Volnay since the death of his father in 2003. He has instigated all sorts of changes, which seem to be inspired by a genuine love, and increasing understanding, of Burgundy and its wines. As soon as he realised he would be in charge of this privileged domaine, where his engraver/artist grandfather arrived in 1906, he enrolled at the university of Dijon and studied winemaking alongside a young generation of Burgundian vignerons half his age....
