Landmark TNs - Shiraz and blends

This session of the Landmark Tutorial week  was led by Stephen Pannell, who grew up in the wine industry as a member of the family which founded Moss Wood in 1967. He's worked at Wirra Wirra, Hardy's Tintara and BRL Hardy, where he was chief red winemaker from 1999 to 2003 and had plenty of overseas experience (eg at Dom des Comtes Lafon in Burgundy, Ch Mouton Rothschild in Bordeaux and G D Vajra in Barolo). And he has won numerous winemaking gongs. He left Hardys in 2003 to set up his own label, S C Pannell. The tasting was in three flights: first some older vintages, then a clutch of 2006s to highlight the characteristics...
