Emmanuel Rouget speaks
Emmanuel Rouget, nephew of the late, great Henri Jayer , is not exactly a media star. In fact he is famously taciturn and reclusive. But his UK importer Roy Richards of Richards Walford kindly arranged a tasting with him at his property in Flagey-Echezeaux just over the RN74 from his late uncle's shuttered villa.
To my amazement, he agreed that I could film him in his cellar and even gave me a smile or two as well as many a word (in French, I'm afraid) on the 2008 harvest.
