In this short film, free for all and not just for Purple pagers, Jesús Barquín, professor of criminology at the University of Granada and fount of all modern sherry knowledge (put 'barquin' in our general site search box), explains what has to happen before sherry is fully embraced by the fine wine world. The onus is on producers rather than on us, apparently.
This was filmed at a presentation of some of the current releases of top sherries selected from individual casks by Barquín and his colleagues for Equipo Navazos bottlings, held at the London flat of Neil Beckett, editor of The World of Fine Wine. You can see the reactions of my fellow participants Margaret Rand and Linden Wilkie here.
I'll be writing about these amazing wines and where to get them later this week.
