Obama and - the Napa Wine Train?
Since its first all-aboard in 1989, the Napa Valley Wine Train has been both a rail spike to the heart of Napa Valley residents who perceive it to be a touristy Disneyland-like ride, and a delight to visitors who enjoy the three-hour trip from Napa to St Helena and back, with views of vineyards, and ‘gourmet meals and fine wines’.
Most Napans have come to accept the Wine Train, some begrudgingly, yet most are incensed that Senator John McCain – the former presidential candidate – and other Republicans have charged that President Barack Obama’s economic recovery plan includes millions of dollars to support the Napa Valley...
