Spare a thought for the visitors to the current Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Not only is there a serious shortage of snow, but you could say that there is also a serious shortage of Canadian wine in the official Olympic wine. The dominant Canadian wine company Vincor, now part of Constellation in the US, touts on the home page of its website that 'VINCOR CANADA is a proud Official Wine Supplier of The Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games' but just how much of the wine in the bottles so proudly carrying the Olympic logo is, as presumably foreign visitors expect, actually Canadian?
