'Bar' Boulud comes to London

Later that same day:  See a paragraph added at the end comparing this place to Terroirs. Under the same management as the famous restaurant Daniel in New York, Bar Boulud is already well established and extremely popular in Manhattan. A second branch has just opened in London's Mandarin Oriental (that many of us persist in calling the Hyde Park Hotel). To judge from the crowd there last night, it already has a loyal following. I recommend it to Purple pagers with the following warning: it's not really a bar, and although an enormous amount of care has been put into its wine list, it certainly isn't what most of us think of...
