MW symposium in Bordeaux

Last week's Masters of Wine symposium in Bordeaux felt like a great success to me - a triumph of organisation on the part of Fiona Morrison MW (Madame Jacques 'Le Pin' Thienpont) and MW student Jacques Lurton.  I must confess that when I looked at the programme, I was a little worried that it was too soft and fluffy and would prove to lack meat and substance, but I take my hat off to all session co-ordinators, who seem to have made excellent preparations and ensured that their speakers delivered something for us all to get our teeth into, more or less on time. It helped that the event from last Thursday evening...
