Diary of an MW student - part 14
6 Aug 2010 by Richard Hemming
The worst has happened. It is a common affliction for wannabe MWs and I realised that I myself had succumbed only recently. It is well known, yet taboo. It is a temporary condition – at least I sincerely hope so: I am completely bored of wine. My name’s Richard and I’m an oenophobic. Ten months of associating wine with study has done it for me. I find it virtually impossible now to drink a glass for pleasure: somewhere in the back of my mind a little demon voice is nattering on about residual sugar or extended maceration. Even the finest wines smell more like a quality assessment question rather than superlative hedonism....
