Cherubino superstar
Many congratulations to Larry Cherubino of Western Australia, who has just been named Winemaker of the Year in senior Australian wine writer James Halliday's 2011 Wine Companion and, also this week, was named Producer of the Year by one of the most junior but prominent members of the Australian wine-writing pack, Matt Skinner, in his annual Wine Guide .
This is pretty impressive considering that Larry Cherubino Wines was set up by Larry and his partner Edwina as recently as 2005, but it certainly isn't the first time that this 40-year-old winemaker has been garlanded with praise. Put Cherubino in the search box of this site and...
