Good and bad news in Châteauneuf
I arrived here last night feeling as though I was lucky that my little hire car, with its precious full tank of whichever fuel it runs on (I have not yet checked), had not been blown off the autoroute by the incredibly strong mistral . At least I assume it's the famous mistral. It's certainly violent (I was lucky to sleep, it is so noisy.) And, although there is hardly a cloud in the sky and I was told it has been T-shirt weather until a day or two ago, it is viciously cold now. Good tasting weather?
