You may gather from yesterday's report from Tuscany that Sassicaia have a very special winemaking recipe. In the video below, Dr Sebastiano Rosa (who, to judge from his beard, appears to have gone native since I saw him presenting Sassicaia back to 1975 in London last year) spells out the detail, mentioning their two 'lesser' wines Guildalberto and Le Difese too. You can see his stepfather Nicolò Incisa della Rocchetta in the background of this smart new winery, as well as in close up at the end.
