Japan's Nouveau craze wanes

It's late November and time for Beaujolais Nouveau 2010. So far in Asia it is still mainly the Japanese who have taken a serious interest in this product but should we be surprised? For it is in Japan that the marketing stars of Beaujolais Nouveau are all aligned. Firstly, this is a place where the people are faddish. Based on the international date line, Japan would be the most logical place to launch such a time-specific product. They would be the most likely among the nations here to embrace this faddish wine.
