2007 California Cabs - a second helping
The 2007 vintage was one in which most California Cabernet Sauvignon producers made delicious and, in many cases, superb wines. Even the value-priced companies produced competent - and sometimes exciting - Cabs. See my first 2007 Cal Cab report for the back story. Here is a second helping of 2007 Cabernet tasting notes, with more to come as the wines become available for evaluation.

Brooding and dense, with dark plum, bittersweet chocolate and anise showing. Grippy tannins and a touch of heat. 14.9% (LM)
