Great London wine-list discovery
One night during Burgundy 2009 week in London when I went to 12 tastings in five days, Nick took me out to Hunan, a Chinese restaurant in Pimlico, London, of which we had heard very good things but where we had never been.
He will be writing in detail about it in a couple of weeks because it was exceptionally good in so many respects. But almost the greatest thrill for me was quite how wonderful the wine list is, a real wine-lover's collection of carefully sourced wines that pique one's interest. Not an easy-to-assemble collection of points-winners and trophy wines but more of a curator's expression of love.
