I am keenly aware that, despite our West Coast editor Linda Murphy's best efforts, our coverage of American wines is woefully spotty. This is mainly because here in the UK we see a relatively meagre range of American wines. Below is a tiny effort to improve our coverage with my notes on some unsolicited samples from the states of Virginia and Texas – not great wine exporters but producers of substantial volumes of wine.
