Cellar treasures at Latour
Last Thursday night in Bordeaux, as signalled in Report from Bordeaux 1 and these two videos , I took part in a tasting exercise so rare that one of our party of 12 flew from Hong Kong especially for the evening and then left to fly back to Hong Kong at 5 am the next day. Our mission? To taste some of the wines (and provide tasting notes) destined for Christie's sale in Hong Kong at 6 pm on 27 May 2011, in the Convention Centre. This is to be a sale of bottles strictly from the château's own pristine cellars with all of the wines château bottled.
