The weather could not be kinder to the Bordelais and their forthcoming offer of the promising 2010 vintage. They always say that a day's sunshine during primeurs week is worth an extra point or two on commentators' scores. After this warm, sunny week they must be confident of rampant score inflation. I spent much of yesterday in the Graves, first at Ch La Mission Haut-Brion, which is where all the Haut-Brion stable's wines are currently shown while the Dillon family invest millions in refurbishing Ch Haut-Brion across the road to the same high standard as they have already applied at La Mission.
