Ron of Jasper Hill on irrigation
23 May 2011 by Jancis Robinson

The lone non European representative at the recent Natural Wine Fair in London was Ron Laughton of Jasper Hill in Heathcote (see Eminent Victorians for an appreciation of some of his wines).  I caught up with him at the end of the second day of the Fair and asked him what he was going to concentrate on in his presentation the following day - after a swoop around the Fair on the edge of Borough Market in London.

I will be reporting in more detail on what I found at the Fair. You can see me interviewing Alice Feiring on the subject here and her interviewing me here. (Waste not, want not...)

Continuing Ron's theme,  last Thursday BBC Radio 4 broadcast an eye-opening report on California's water problems. Those in the UK can listen to it here.
