Young guns blazing
My husband often says that if he stood still in one place long enough, I'd file him. I have a relentless compulsion to classify, label, file and tidy away all manner of things. This can sometimes be a great handicap in life, especially when it comes to people. When WOSA ( Wines of South Africa ) recently held workshops in London, the first one focused on 'Tomorrow's stars'. The four young men lined up in front of us looked slightly nervous, and as each one began to talk about his background (and four very different backgrounds they were), I found myself ticking the boxes in my head; I was already thinking about how neatly I could sum them...
