Penny studied winemaking in New Zealand and then worked for two years with an independent wine importer in the UK. During this time she took the WSET Diploma, before embarking on the Master of Wine programme. She won the Geoffrey Roberts Award in 2003 , and the Young Wine Writer of the Year Award 2004....
