2009 Crus Bourgeois
As I have pointed out with doubtless annoying frequency such as in this initial
set of tasting
notes , 2009 was a great vintage throughout the Médoc, right down to the
petits châteaux that can offer such great value – particularly in comparison with
the 2009 and 2010 crus classés. The identity of those 2009s granted the right to call
themselves Crus Bourgeois was revealed this week and Julia and I are hard at
work tasting our way through them so that we can direct Purple pagers to the best
